Parker Schnabel Returns to Gold Rush : ‘A Lot of People Have Come and Gone, but We’re Still Here’

There’s still gold to be mined in Alaska, and Parker Schnabel is out to find it.

In an exclusive First Look at the Gold Rush season 13 premiere, the mining veteran continues his tireless search for gold while expanding his operation from the Klondike to Alaska. While the competition is stiff, Schnabel isn’t all that worried.

“The world is all screwed up. Tony Beets is struggling with red tape. Fred, the lack of experience is going to hurt him. Rick Ness, rumor has it he’s not even coming back. A lot of people have come and gone, but we’re still here.”

Throughout this season, Klondike kingpin Tony Beets puts his children’s inheritance on the line to mine the White Channel, the oldest gold deposit in the Klondike, while Fred Lewis (now in his third year) risks his home and heads north to his remote claim on California Creek.

But upon arrival, conditions aren’t ideal. The area is covered in snow, and 30 feet of ice complicate things for Lewis’ operation.

This season, newbies Brandon and Brady Clayton join the Gold Rush line up. With their family is in debt, their hand-to-mouth operation needs every fleck of gold they can find to mine the Golden Acres they’ve discovered.

Between the new competition, soaring fuel prices, supply chain issues and the price of gold being down, the stakes have never been higher.

“We have to hammer down like never before. Gold miners are in for a shock this year.”

making a crass comment about the wife of Corey Comperatore, the former fire chief who was killed by gunfire while trying to shield his family during the attempt on the former president’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month.

Trump claimed during a rally speech in Harrisburg on Wednesday that a friend of his had presented Helen Comperatore, Corey’s wife, with a check for $1 million and that crowdfundraising efforts were now in the millions.

“But you know what?” Trump asked supporters. “Corey’s wife said, ‘I’d rather have my husband.’”

“Isn’t that good?” Trump continued. “I know a lot of wives that would not say that, I’m sorry. They would not say that.”

The audience lapped up the comment and laughed.

“But no, it’s a great family, he was a great man, he was a brave man,” said Trump, who later led a moment of silence for Comperatore.

Critics on X, formerly Twitter, accused Trump of turning Comperatore’s death into a punchline.

Trump is indeed a sociopath. Imagine saying shìt like this while the deceased man’s family is in mourning. Horrifying.

Authorities in India say they have rescued a woman who was found emaciated and tied to a tree in a jungle after allegedly being left there to die.

Police in a district near Mumbai, India, say they rescued Lalita Kayi Kumar, 50, after a shepherd heard her cries in a jungle over the weekend, according to the Deccan Chronicle, the Indian Express and British newspaper The Times.

She was found bound to a tree with an iron chain, The Hindustan Times reported, citing local police.

In photos shared by the outlets, Kumar appeared heavily emaciated and covered in dirt at the time of her rescue.

Authorities reportedly found copies of her U.S. passport next to her, as well as Indian documentation showing she had overstayed her visa, per the Indian Express. She was rushed to the hospital.

Authorities named her ex-husband — who has not been publicly identified — as a suspect after Kumar alleged that he tied her to the tree and left her to die, The Times and the Indian Express reported.

He allegedly left her there following a domestic dispute, police said, per The Times. Kumar told police she had not eaten for 40 days, per the outlet.

Kumar’s ex-husband is facing charges of attempted murder, act endangering life or personal safety of others and wrongful confinement, police said, per

was asked about his pronouns on Fox News, and his answer left critics shaking their heads.

In the second part of an interview that aired Tuesday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham mentioned that Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has “she/her” in her social media bio to indicate her pronouns.

“What are your pronouns?” Ingraham asked Trump.

“I have no — I don’t want pronouns,” the Republican nominee said.

“So, you’re fluid? What is that?” Ingraham replied.

“Nobody even knows what that means. Ask her to describe exactly what that means,” Trump added.

Clearly, that’s not true. Pronouns are a crucial part of the English language, helping people describe things without repeatedly using names or nouns.

It’s also a way for trans or nonbinary people, or their allies, to indicate and affirm their gender identity, avoid misgendering and signal respect. For this reason, many people include their pronouns in their social media bios.

Republicans, who have been systematically attacking LGBTQ+ and especially trans rights across the country, often ridicule those who state their pronouns, in some cases going as far as introducing legislation that would prohibit people from using pronouns that don’t correspond to their sex assigned at birth.
