In a recent interview Noel Gallagher discussed his health and mentioned that he needs to reduce his alcohol consumption to maintain his fitness.
Noel Gallagher has confessed that he feels he’ll be fortunate to reach the age of 60, prompting his commitment to quit drinking. The 57-year-old former Oasis guitarist expressed his bewilderment at how older musicians like Mick Jagger continue to perform. In a conversation with Matt Morgan on his podcast, Noel also remarked that Aerosmith’s choice to stop touring didn’t come as a surprise.
He remarked, “Well, they’ve got to be pushing 70 now, right? Given how I feel at the moment, I’d be lucky to make it to 60.” He added, “Just because Jagger is still going strong at 103 doesn’t mean everyone can.” Noel then joked about gaining weight, attributing it to his drinking habits. “I could use a break from the booze, let’s put it that way,” he said. His comments follow an incident where he was booed on stage after announcing that an Oasis reunion would not be happening in 2025 or 2026.
During his headlining set at the Y Not Festival, Noel responded to a fan’s question about a possible reunion with his estranged brother Liam Gallagher, stating, “When are we going to see you? In 2025 or 2026? The answer is neither.”
