Nottingham Forest in race for £25m star scouted by Man United.
The Premier League duo have experienced very different starts to the season with Nottingham Forest flying high in seventh with four points to their name, while Wolves find themselves in the relegation zone after two successive defeats.
Both clubs are still active in the transfer market and have set their sights on signing a new midfielder.
Forest have already completed nine signings this summer – including midfield duo Elliot Anderson and Marko Stamenic, while Wolves secured a permanent deal for Tommy Doyle as one of their four signings so far.
According to Football Transfers, both Forest and Wolves are battling to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre.
Wolves have shown an interest in the 23-year-old throughout the summer but the report adds that Forest have now entered talks over a potential deal.
Fulham had shown an interest in Andre also, but a move to Craven Cottage has been ruled out after talks broke down.
A deal for Andre would reportedly be worth somewhere between €25 million and €30 million (£25million) if either Forest or Wolves advance their interest.
Manchester United have been on the lookout for a new midfield signing and the Red Devils sent scouts to watch Andre in action.
However, having now agreed a £50million deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, Erik ten Hag’s side have now dropped out of the race.
Forest and Wolves are now in pole position to strike a deal for the Brazilian midfielder.
