NASCAR set to return to the Heartland with 2 KC stops in 2025.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – NASCAR is set to return to Kansas City for two weekends in 2025 after the Kansas Speedway became the site of the closest finish in series history during the AdventHealth 400.
NASCAR officials have announced that the Kansas Speedway is set to host two race weekends in 2025 as the most exciting mile-and-a-half track. The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race will return on May 10, 2025, while the NASCAR Cup Series returns for the AdventHealth 400 on May 11.
The company noted that the AdventHealth 400 provided the closest finish in series history last May.
According to NASCAR, drivers will be under even more pressure when they return to the Heartland in September. The Xfinity Series will be held that Saturday as drivers compete in the second race of the Playoffs on the 27th.
“It’s special to have NASCAR once again put on two weekends of racing for our fans in 2025,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren. “With the phenomenal on-track product we’ve consistently produced along with our ever-continuing improvement on amenities, Kansas Speedway has become one of the premier destinations for all race fans to visit and enjoy.”
NASCAR indicated that the 2024 Hollywood Casino Weekend, Sept. 27 – 29, will feature four incredible races over three days. The action will begin with a doubleheader set to feature the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series’ Kubota Tractors 200 and the ARCA Menards Series’ Reese’s 150.
The weekend is set to continue Saturday, Sept. 28, with the Xfinity Series’ Kansas Lottery 300 while on Sunday, the Cup Series returns to the site of the closest finish in series history with the Hollywood Casino 400.
